provide hard copy output, rendered to meet U.S. and foreign patent drawing regulations,
from many commonly used CAD and graphics programs. If an invention or design has been developed in CAD,
it is often unnecessary to completely regenerate the graphic information for
patent filing purposes. Traditionally, printouts of CAD files were given to
a patent draftsperson who would
reproduce the necessary views and figures, by hand on a drawing board. This is an incredible waste of time, and results
in un-necessary patent drawing costs for many patent applicants who have CAD files at
their disposal.
